It's the final countdown

My time in California is coming to an end. Me and my travel friends have had a blast.
The final night in SF was spent at The Black Cat Jazz Club listening to the excellent Patterns Fly. 3 incredible musicians jazzing the life out of their set. Funky, melodic and brilliantly talented. A great night all in all.
Tomorrow this bear will be heading home.what an amazing time I've had. Whales, Bears and driverless cars.
Fun times.
Thanks California, I had alot of fun. See you on the road next time.
Fred.

Goodbye Van, Hello SanFran

We managed to get the RV back only an hour or so later than planned. A stop off to dump the water/wee tanks, fill up with fresh water and petrol took a little longer than we'd planned.
Our last night in the van at Klinkerbrick Winery near Lodi was very pleasant. Sipping some lovely product parked next to the vines that it came from felt very special.

A quick ride into downtown SF and after a little kerfuffle checking in we hit The streets of San Francisco. A tram ride down to Fisherman's Wharf @ Pier 39 for a much needed beverage before heading to Chinatown for dinner. Chinatown was eerily quiet for 9pm but we soldiered on and found a perfect eatery, ordered way too much food, ploughed through it and finished our night at a swanky rooftop cocktail bar looking out over the rooftops of SF.
And so to bed.
Our final day has plans for a bus tour of the city , some souvenir shopping and an evening at a jazz club......Jazz.....Nice!

Meet the cousins

Yosemite National Park is awesome.e beyond words. The waterfalls and vistas jaw dropping. Everything you've heard about the place is true.
Bridalveil Falls was incredible. Alot of water falling a long way.
Next came a chance encounter with my Yosemite cousins. A kerfuffle at the roadside, a cluster of tourists filming and a brief glimpse of a couple of locals.
Out of the park on HW120 was another epic mountain journey. Switchback after hairpin for miles and miles until we reached the valley floor below. Then Mile after mile of walnut groves, fruit orchards and vines until, finally  we arrived mid afternoon at Klinkerbrick Winery near Lodi. Our final night in the van and we are parked amongst the vines.
Another awesome day draws to an end. Tomorrow we hand back the RV an head into SanFran
